BENGALURU: A biker got into a heated argument with a man who was smoking inside an auto-rickshaw in Bengaluru, and a video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

An X user, Sheikh Moin, posted two videos of the incident with the caption: "This passenger in auto was chilling out smoking in public while his hand was out of the auto which touch my leg while the auto driver passed by me.

When questioned I was pushed aside almost crashed me to footpath."
According to the post, the incident occurred in Bengaluru's JP Nagar at around 5.59pm on April 7.
Sheikh claimed that the passenger's cigarette touched his leg while the auto was passing by his bike.
Sheikh also accused the auto driver of reckless driving, nearly causing a collision with his two-wheeler.

The Bengaluru City Police responded to the post, stating that they had informed the concerned police officers about the matter and requested Moin to share his contact number.

The post has received mixed reactions from the netizens, with some supporting the smoker while others opposing him.

A user wrote, "Biker should mind his business...why he is arguing with passenger .if he somkes let him pay fine."
Another user critisised the biker, "Smoking in public is illegal and a punishable offense. Please take action against the culprit for smoking in public and investigate if the claims of culprit pushing the person who took the video."
A user came up with a witty take on the incident: "Smoking on roads at 40 degrees is not a child's play. Law enforcement should be considerate with the offender!"
